The Battle of Bunker Hill was a battle the showed the British that the Americans were ready to fight and could fight. The British actually won the battle due to the patriots running out of ammo. Due to this the American army was instructed not to fire until they see the "whites" of the British eyes. General Prescott was the leader of the patriot army. -
