An act passed by the British Parliament to curb the amount of smuggling in the colonies and force colonist to buy sugar from England. the colonist didn't like the fact that their smuggling operations were being shut down by tighter law enforcement, the Parliament like it because they made money while also crushing the smuggling trade.

A law Passed by the British Parliament that placed taxes on glass, lead, painters colors, tea and paper. It also gave officials more power to enforce these law by the use of warrants. the colonist felt that their rights were being trampled on they didn't like that their property wasn't safe. this helped the British weed out smugglers.

An Act passed by the British Parliament stating that all paper items except books were to have a stamp on them. The colonist replied very negatively boycotting and burning said stamps, the parliament then decided to repeal the act not wanting to start a total rebellion.

An legislation passed by the British Parliament stating that all paper goods must have a stamp ranging in price from 2 pennies to 10 pounds, the colonist reacted harshly to this new law and boycotted and burned said stamps, this made the British Decide to repeal the act as to not cause rebellion.

An act passed by the British Parliament stating that the colonies were required to house soldiers in barracks, if none were available colonists were required to house them in their own houses or businesses. The Colonist didn't like the eyes and ears in their houses nor did they like that they were soldiers. The Parliament liked this it discouraged dissent.

An act passed by the British giving the East India Company a monopoly on importation and sale of tea in the colonies as a way to save the company. this angered the colonist by forcing them to buy their tea from one place and an spendy one at that this eventually led to the Boston Tea Party. the British of course was furious leading them to more acts
