Brenda was born in Centro Médico at Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Brenda was excited to go to school for first time. She started First Grade at Juan B. Soto School in Aguada.

Brenda celebrated with her family the 6th grade graduation with honors and excellent grades including in English.

In nine grade Brenda graduated with high honors and was the only student who received a certificate in recognition of Outstanding Academic Achievement and meeting the standards of the Presidential Academic Fitness Awards Program

Finished High School, Brenda decided to be a teacher and applied to study at the University.

Brenda started to study education at University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla finishing her Bachelor in Elementary Education on 1998.

During those years Brenda studied very hard to complete her studies and to finish her bachelor. She did it very well.

During the summers of 1994, 1995 and 1996 Brenda visited her family at Elizabeth, New Jersey. She found a job at a textile factory and worked there during the three summers. She had the opportunity to practice the English Language with her peers at work, with her family and other people of the community too.

Brenda celebrates when she graduated at the University of Puerto Rico obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She was the first member of her family to go to college.

Since august 1998 to November 2000, Brenda worked as a first grade teacher at Academia Santa Rosa de Lima in Rincón, PR.

During the semester of August to November the school asked Brenda to teach math class in English as a special project of the school.

At December 2000 Brenda begun to work with the Department of Education of PR. She has been working until present at different public schools in Aguada, Puerto Rico.

On September 22, 2012 Brenda begun to study taking two online courses of Bilingual Education. She is trying to get a certification as a Bilingual Teacher. She will continue until finish.

Since august Brenda is the kindergarten teacher of Juan B. Soto school in Aguada, school where she studied since first to eight grade. Since September 24, 2012 she is a bilingual teacher, teaching science and math to her students in English as part as a school special project.
