The Black Panther party was constructed mainly for the equal rights of African Americans but they generally help all races for equal rights. Problems they face today are still around but more discrete. They still fight against discrimination as well as maintaining the rights to be equal and fair towards everyone reguardless of their skin color.

APRIL 6, 1968
Shoot-out between Panthers and Oakland police leaves 17-year-old Panther Bobby Hutton dead. -
The most famous and successful of their programs was the Free Breakfast for Children Program, which at first was run out of an Oakland church.
Other survival programs were free services such as: distribution of clothing, classes on economics and politics, free medical clinics, lessons on self-defense and first aid, transportation to upstate prisons for family members of inmates, an emergency-response ambulance program, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and testing for diseases. -

A predawn raid by police leaves Panthers Fred Hampton and Mark Clark dead in a Chicago apartment. -
