    During the war British soldiers and colonial troops launched a series against the French in Canada. At first the France won a lot of victories, but then in 1759 British troops launched an attack in Quebec the capital of New France. Although the war expanded until 1763 the British succeed in Canada.

    1764 - STAMP ACT
    King George III and his advisors thought thought the colonists should help pay for the wars. To increase taxes paid by the colonists, parliament passed the Sugar Act
  • 1773 - SUGAR ACT

    1773 - SUGAR ACT
    A handful of colonists hurled a cargo of recently arrived British tea into the harbor to protest a tax on tea. Parliament passed harsh laws to to Massachusetts. The other colonies rallied and help oppose the British.
  • 1781 - TREATY OF PARIS

    1781 - TREATY OF PARIS
    Two years later American, British, and French diplomats signed the Treaty of Paris ending the war. The United States recognized the independence of the British, in that treaty. The Americans victory can be attributed to their resilient dedicated to attaining independence.

    The Constitution said that the law of land would become when 9 out of 13 states ratified, New Hampshire was the ninth.
