Who is he?
Luis Manuel Alí Herrera is a Colombian Catholic religious, theologian, psychologist and professor, born in the city of Barranquilla, on May 8, 1967. -

In 1978 he carried out his ecclesiastical, philosophical and theological studies at the Major Seminary of Bogotá.
Already on November 28, 1992, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Bogotá, by the then metropolitan archbishop "Monsignor" Mario Rebollo Bravo.
In 2003 he obtained a degree in Theology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá.
In 2006 he went to Italy, where he graduated in Psychology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. -

Appointment of new bishop
At the same time that he was exercising his episcopal offices, on November 7, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him as the new titular Bishop of the See of Iubaltiana, in succession to "Monsignor" Karl-Josef Rauber and he is also the new Bishop Auxiliary of Bogotá. -
Episcopal ordination
He received the episcopal consecration on December 12, 2015, together with the recently appointed new auxiliary "Monsignor" Pedro Manuel Salamanca Mantilla, during a Eucharist presided over by the Metropolitan Cardinal-Archbishop and main consecrator "Monsignor" Rubén Salazar Gómez and by his co-consecrators, the apostolic nuncio in the country "Monsignor" Ettore Balestrero and the Metropolitan Archbishop of Villavicencio "Monsignor" Óscar Urbina.
