This early bicycle was invented by Baron von Drais because he wanted to get around the royal gardens faster. You would sit on the saddle and propel yourself forward by pushing your feet of the ground. It was made out of wood. Unfortunately it was not very practical as it was hard to ride in places other than well kept areas.
