The Great Awkening helped to energize people to speak for themselves. It helped people realize that the religious powers were in their hands and not the church. -

This war was between France and Britain and their allies the Indians and Colonists. It was important because the result of the war will determine who will have power and land. -

The Revolutionary War begun because some had fired a shot at the Battle of Leington and Concord. In eight minutes 8 were dead and 10 were wounded. -

Thomas Jefferson stated in the Declaration of Independence that everyone has inalienable rights. It was significant because the citizens now have a voice in their government. -

The first ten amendments are known as the Bill of Rights. This is important because it limited the government's role and gave individuals rights. -
The Cotton Gin
Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin which seperates the seeds from cotton fibers. This helped because it made seeding so much easier and faster because the cotton gin could clean 1,000 pounds of cotton per day. -
Louisiana Purchase
The United States bought the French claims and increased the national debt and size of the United States. -
The Missouri Compromise
Slavery would not be restricted in Missouri and some states were known as non-free states. -

They wore robes and masks and pretended to be ghosts of soldiers coming back form he dead to get revenge on enemies in the south. They murdered 1,000 people and half the adult white male population belonged to the KKK, -
14th Amendment
Guarantee citizens equal protection. This is important because without this amendment, we would not all have equal rights. -
15th Amendment
This is important because it gave men the right to vote. Without this amendment we might not have the results we want for presidental elections.
