    French/Indian war
    The seven years' war (french and Indian war) lasted from 1756 to 1763. It caused an imperial struggle between Britain and France called the second hundred year's war. ultimately lead to the British taking Canada from the french and taking Florida from Spain.
  • Stamp Act

    This act imposed a tax on all paper documents in the colonies, occurred when the British Empire was in a lot of debt from the Seven Years War and looking for help from North american colonies.
  • Townshend Act

    Introduced to the English Parliament by Chancellor of the Exchequer Charles Townshend in 1767. The Townshend Acts forced duties on lass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into colonies
  • The Boston Massacre

    Occurred when a sentry let loose shots in a crown. Three people died immediately and 2 died later of wounds. The British officer in charge Thomas Preston was arrested for manslaughter along with the other 8 men.
