Magna Carta
The Magna Carta is a document signed by King John. This document established a council of 25 barons, so that the King could keep his clauses. Such as being protected from illegal imprisonment. This had an affect on the American Constition because it gave them the idea of these laws. -
The Mayflower Compact
The pilgrims drafted the first governing document in the Plymouth colony Mayflower Compact. This important because it was the first document for creating a government. -

This was a parliament that enhanced democratic freedom of speech and election, but decreased the powers of the king and queen. This is important because it is an example of how a monarchy changes into a democracy and an example of what a democracy is. -

This act was passed by the Parliament of Great Britain which closed the port of Boston and demanded that they pay almost 1 million dollars. -
