    The colonists failed attempt to take military control of the British province. British were lead by Colonel Benedict Arnold and General Richard Montgomery. Montgomery was killed, and the battle resulted with the first major defeat in the war.

    The first battle of the war, which officially established a fight between Britain and the colonists. Took place of the span of a day in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. 700 British soldiers, led by Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith, were the victors of the battle.
