  • Bank Recharter Bill of 1832

    This was just a charter to reinstate the nation bank, but it was issued 4 years before the charter it was on expired.
  • Jackson Vetoes the Bank

    He just didn’t allow the recharter because he said it was unconstitutional.
  • Jackson's Reelection

    Jackson was reelected for a second term running as a Democrat. His vice president was Martin Van Buren.
  • Biddle’s Response

    He didn’t agree with what Jackson was doing because that would affect his job, which was him being the director if the national bank.
  • Jackson withdrawls Federal Deposits

    This is where Jackson used all of his executive power to remove all of the funds from the national banks which starts the "Bank War." Due to this the Senate censures the President.
  • Panic of 1837

    After he didn’t recharter the bank, the country went into a big recession of not having money and jobs. Economy was damaged due to the bank not being rechartered.
