    A battle took place at fire support base Coral & Balmoral in which the Australians were engaged in firefights in the Vietcong, One mortar platoon and a battery gun was overrun, but after two hours of heavy fighting the Australians eventually won the battle. Two days later the NVA & Vietcong situated themselves around Coral in hopes to string them out. But this was a failure as four Centurion tanks swept the outside of the base a killed large numbers of them
