Theological stage
Comte explains that individuals believed God was the creator of the physical and social society and that everything in the world is controlled by the supernatural.
Metaphysical stage
At this stage, individuals became more rational, dwelled on abstract principles, and focused less on the supernatural.
Scientific stage
Societies placed a growing focus on science research and began viewing the world from an intellectual perspective (Moum 3 - 4). -
Positivism as a philosophical ideology is attributed to the works of Comte. Positive philosophy was Comte's major work, and Auguste invented philosophy after observing the clash of thoughts and opinions between religious and revolutionary thinkers (Stamford University par 7).
