Thye multiple choice test is first invented. It provided a solution to how expensive the one-on-one application of the IQ test would be on US army recruits. -
Stanford-Binet IQ Test
Leis Terman at Stanford University takes up Binet's intelligence tests and creates the STanford-Binet IQ test. -
Scholastic Aptitude Test
The College Entrance Examinations Board was established in 1900 and started to develop the use of multiple-choice tests to measure aptitude after 1918. In 1920 the multiple-choice Scholastic Aptitude Test was designed. -
Regular Survey Tests
Conducted by the National ASsessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) These were intended to produce only a nationwide picture, but developed to produce data for the performance of each state. -
