In 1932, the German presidential elections were held on March 13 and April 10. The President that was in term already, Paul von Hindenburg, was first elected in 1925, but was re-elected to another term. His enemy to this goal was indeed, Adolf Hitler.

Gaby and Rose were sailing to the coast line with to her amazement, Gaby saw a mom put a baby on her shoulder and yelled, "Heil Hitler". They then quickly moved away from the beach and kept sailing for a while.

When Ulla, Gabby, and Karl went to the Beer Garden, a young man sat upon a high stool and started singing a Nazi song. Once they heard it, others started joining- including Karl which left Gaby in complete fear of him- considering the fact Ulla didn't mind.

The day after Hitler was declared chancellor, Ms. Fraulein Katrina Hofstadt instantly seperated the Jewish girls from the Germans, calling on them less, lowering their grades, and making them look like idiots. Worst of all, this was Gaby's favorite teacher and when she jumped up out of her chair and screamed "Heil!" Rosa knew this wasn't going to end soon.

Gaby soon finds out that Fraulein Katrina Hofstadt is Mr. Gobbels mistress. She then decided she can't handle all of this and drops out of school only to be home schooled by her well know father, Otto.

When Gaby's teacher asks for a meeting with her favorite girls, she asks Rosa and Gabby to be leaders of the Girls division of the Hitler Youth Group (BDM). When they refuse, she then ignores Rosa and Gaby and treats them as if they were Jews.

Gaby looked out of the window on a rainy night and saw her mother and father burrying books and soon realized it was Einsteins scientific books; classified as Jewish books

Left for vacation somewhere around June 3rd to somewhere up North. On the way Uncle Hessie interacts with some drunk Nazis and offers them to give them a ride home.

Months before Ulla was sick and said it was just the flu but one day Gaby asked her if she was sick and Ulla said that she was pregnant and was planning on getting married to Karl.

It was decided that Ulla and Karl would have a small engagement party as they did not want a bunch of people to attend. When Karl's mother showed up with a picture of the both signed by Hitler himself, Gabys mom nearly had a heart attack. The next day it as in the trash.

Only a day later the Schrams moved out of Berlin in luck for a better surrounding, only Ulla decides to stay with Karl and Uncle Hessie.

Anne Frank is well known for her diary she had wrote in while hiding from the Nazis which was published later in 1947. This process was created by Hitler and well know as the Holocaust.
