    Consisted of Symmetrical arrangements of windows and doors along with arches and domes. It lasted until 1600.

    Consisted of complicated shapes and twisted columns and to top it all off, grand stairways. This lasted until 1830.

    Consisted of Delicate details, Intricate patterns. lasted until 1790.
  • Neoclassicism

    Neoclassicism
    Common traits would be Symmetrical sides and it is proportional along with tall Doric columns. It lasted until 1925.
  • Art Nouveau

    Flat decorative patterns along with abstract lines and shapes. Lasted until 1914.
  • Beaux Arts

    Beaux Arts
    Use stone for construction and added balconies. Most buildings are massive and grandiose. It lasted until 1925.

    Introduction of factory made parts and man made parts such as metal and concrete. it still continues to present day.
  • Neo-Gothic

    Neo-Gothic
    Usually swept upward and had great heights along with vaulted ceilings. A key characteristic would be the gargoyle on walls. It lasted until 1930.

    Consisted of zig zag designs and had illusions which made it look like it had pillars. It also had a complex pattern of trapezoids and rectangles. It lasted until 1937.

    Has diverse aethethics and also gives emphasis on unique forms. It still continues to present day.
