Greensboro Sit-ins
Colored people sat in segregated coffee shops in Greensboro. They wouldn't leave until they were served. It resulted in many riots. -
Civil Rights Marches
Black rights activists marched in Washtington D.C. to prove to Congress that they wanted their rights and they wanted them bad. -
Attack on Pleiku
Vietnamese people attacked a base at Pleiku, After the dust settled (so edgy), 8 folk died a very honorable death, defending their country and what not, and 100 other people who WON'T be enjoying eternity in paradise were wounded. -
Civil Rights Act of 1964
The Civil Rights act was passed. This gave black people rights and attempted to elimnate all segregation in America. -
Resolution of the Gulf of Tonkin
The Prez, LBJ aka Linden B. Johnson, announced that some North Vietnamese bosos fired at a couple of chilling American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin. Everyone was angry and hated all the democrats in office because of it. The Americans also blamed the immagrants. -
Malcom X Assassination
Malcom X, a famous black rights activist, was assassinated. This was from a white man who hated the idea of freedom for black people. -
North VietNAM Campiagn
Ya boy Linden B decided that it would be a good idea to put a bunch of Americans at risk for the sake of proving to people hundreds of miles away that their opinions about how government should be ran were wrong. Basically, America started bombing North Vietnam. It was expensive and lame. -

At the University of Michigan, some students and faculty decided to use their brain and thought that the "conflict" in Vietnam might be worth opposing. So, a bunch of people got together and brainstormed reasons why they should oppose it. Yay, brain power! -

After four gruling years of stalemate and death in Vietnam, Nixon, yes the guy who is not a crook, decided to pull out 25,000 soldiers from vietnam. This effectively put the war on the decline. -

Henry Kissinger started to negotiate peace with Le Duc Tho, the North Vietnam negotiator. YEAH AMERICA! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! WE GOT HIM! -
