    Enabling Act
    This act enabled Hitler and the Nazi's more political power. It basically allowed the government to do anything they wanted to.
  • Jewish Boycott

    Jewish Boycott
    During this time, the Nazi's started a boycott against the Jews. Hitler stated that no one was allowed to enter Jewish shops, This only lasted one day, but the violence increased.
  • Berlin Book Burning

    Berlin Book Burning
    At the Berlin Book Burning, Berlin University students decided to burn every book that was written by a undesirable writer. At the end of the burning, they had burned 70,000 tons of books.
  • Aryan Law

    Aryan Law
    This law was passed and it stated that any non-aryans (jews) would be expelled from civil service. This affected almost every profession.
  • Nuremberg Laws

    Nuremberg Laws
    There were two parts to the Nuremberg Laws. Part 1 was the protection law and it stated that Jews couldn't marry Germans, and if they did, then it would be invalid. Part 2 was the citizenship law. That stated that Jews were not considered citizens, and that they were not allowed to take part in voting or be in public office.

    Law Number 174
    This law made any Jews that didn't have a recognizable Jewish name, have to make Sarah (girls) or Israel (boys) their middle name.

    Night of Broken Glass
    On this night a Jew shot and killed a German in self defense, and the Germans used this excuse to unleash even more cruelty to the Jews. This night got it's name from all the broken glass on the ground because of the Jews properties windows had been broken.

    At this time the Nazis were passing many laws against the Jews. This particular one stated that any Jews over the age of 6 were required to wear a Star of David symbol when in public.
