  • New Orleans

    After the war treaty of 1812 was signed it took time to get the word out that it was over. Immediately after New Orleans was face to face with a mixed militia equipped with four or five different groups.

  • Ft. Sumter

    This is known as the start of the civil war. The first shots were fired here.

  • Bull Run

    In Battle Bull Run J.E.B. Stuart ordered an attack on the exposed Union right flank. Rebels came charging down the hill breaking McDowell's line, and forcing his troops to retreat.

  • Vicksburg

    The union led by Ulysses S. Grant took over Vicksburg base in Mississippi.

  • Gettysburg

    Union soldiers and confederate soldiers went into battle, also known as Pickett's Charge.

  • Battle of Appomattox Court House

    Confederate general Robert E. Lee surrendered his army to Ulysses S. Grant.
