    Jackson's Birth
    Andrew Jackson was born in the Waxhaws region which is between North Carolina and South Carolina. The area was a community of Scotish immigrants. He considered himself a South Carolina native. His father died before he was born so he never got the chance to meet him. Andrew Jackson got an education all the way up through elementary school from local schools that were in the area.

    Jackson Enlists in Revolutionary Army
    Andrew Jackson joined the Revolutionary War in 1778 when he was only 13 years old. He enlisted with his brothers to fight against the British and support the U.S. He joined the Continental Army as a courier. His very first battle that he fought in was The Battle of the Hanging Rock on August 1, 1780. At the Battle of Stono Ferry Andrew and his brother Robert were captured by British. Andrew Jackson was injured by a British official because he refused to clean their boots.

    Battle of New Orleans
    The Battle of New Orleans was a very important time for Andrew Jackson. This battle was the last battle of the War of 1812. He was the leader of the army for this war which made it even more important for him. Andrew Jackson's troop of men were mainly just inexperienced volunteers he recruited. Even though they weren't as skillful, he outnumbered the amount of men on the British side. This really gave the U.S. a larger advantage because they had more forces on their side. He led his side to win.

    Battle of Horseshoe Bend
    This battle was located in Dadeville, Alabama and the leader of it was Andrew Jackson. The battle consisted of Native Americans and United States citizens. Andrew Jackson's Indian allies helped them fight the Creek Indian Tribe. This tribe did not support the expansion of The United States so this was the reason that a battle took place. The outcome was the U.S. forces winning with the support from their other Indian allies. Andrew Jackson forced the Creek Indians to sign Treaty of Fort Jackson.

    The Election of 1824
    This election consisted of candidates John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. They were both from different political parties as John Q. Adams was a Whig and Andrew Jackson was a Democratic Republican who suppoted the thoughts of the comman man rather than those who had a high education. Even though Andrew Jackson recieved more electorial and popular votes he didn't get the majority of the 131 electorial votes. This election also sparked the idea of the Corrupt Bargain.

    This election after the first term that John Quincy Adams due to the results of The Election of 1824. The same candidates were running against eachother: John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. The outcome of this election was more different because it was easier for Andrew Jackson to win instead. This was because of the Corrupt Bargain that took place in the last election. It caused more to vote for Andrew Jackson this go around. Mr. Jackson won with an Electorial Vote of 178 vs. 83.

    Andrew Jackson signed a law that stated that the land west of the Missipii River was to be where the Native Americans lived. It caused them to relocate their homes and pack up all their things and leave their very own homelands. This caused "The Trails of Tears". It was an extremely sad time for these Indians because they were forced to leave their homeland while all these new things were occuring with the evolution of the United States. This showed the more evil side of Andrew Jackson.

    This Nullification Crisis was when a tariff was created. This really angered South Carolina because they were primarly farmers and they refused to pay this tax. To go on some sort of a strike one may say South Carolina threatened to cede from the United States and no body wanted this issue to happen. North Carolina belived they should have state's rights. The taxation was later nullified by passing the Nullification Act.
  • Worcester vs. Georgia

    Worcester vs. Georgia
    This was a Supreme Court Court case that was betwenn the Cherokee Indians and the state of Georgia, The issue was that the Sam Worcester didn't want to to move to western land labeled "Indian Territory" and this caused the army to arrest Worcester along with 6 other people. This caused Worcester to go to court. The outcome of this issue was that the Supreme Court ruled in favor to Worcester and not Georgia. This case showed that Indians had the right to STAY in Georgia, not removed.

    The Bank War was a campaign that was started by Andrew Jackson because he disliked the Bank of The United States which was created by Alexander Hamilton. He wanted to "kill it". The president of the bank was Nicklas Bidle. Him and Jackson worked hard to abolish this bank. Eventually, the bank was vetoed when its charter was up for renewal. This was by Andrew Jackson's doings.
