    Andrew Jackson was thirteen years old when he joined the Continental Army as a courier. He and his brother were taken prisoners for a few weeks in April 1781 by the British. A british officer asked Jackson to clean his boots, and Jackson's hand was cut to the bone when he said no, which gave him bitter resentment towards the British untill his death.

The Treaty of Ghent, which ended the war, had been signed two weeks before the battle but the news had not yet crossed to New Orleans. So in reality, the war was pointless.

The court ruled in favor of Worcester because they felt Georgia stepped over its boundries. Furthermore, court said Georgia violated the 14th amendment, which stops any government in the United States from blocking a citizen’s right to pursue life, liberty and happiness.
