The Revolutionary war was one of the most biggest turning points in American History.Great Britain and America were the two countries that were involved.The wars happened across the whole North America.Specifically present day America.The reason this is deserves to be on my timeline is because this is how America gained its freedom and became the country it is today.We stood up for what we believed in and never gave up even tho the odds were against us.This is the first event that shaped us. -

Louisiana Purchase
Napoleon and Thomas Jefferson made a deal. America acquired approximately 827,000 square miles of land west of the Mississippi River for $15 million.The treaty happened in Washington D.C.Spain retroceded Louisiana to France, aroused uneasiness in the United States both because Napoleonic France was an aggressive power and because Western settlers depended on the Mississippi River for commerce.The Louisiana Purchase had a lot of land and helped America discover its land though Lewis and Clark. -

The states and Native Americans were involved in this event.The Trail of Tears was a series of forced removals of Native American nations from their ancestral homelands in the Southeastern United States to an area west of the Mississippi River that had been designated as Native Territory.This is a major turning point in American history because Native Americans were forced out of our lands. Because of this move we explored more of our land without the Native Americans. -
California Gold Rush
The California Gold Ruch began at Sutters' Mill.James W. Marshall, a foreman working for Sacramento pioneer John Sutter, found shiny metal in the tailrace of a lumber mill Marshall was building for Sutter on the American River.This is very important because this boosted our economy so much and expanded our knowledge about minerals. Gold as so important to us because our country got richer.The Gold Rush more than 300,000 thousand people to the United States and increased our population and work. -

The North and South States were the "people" involved in the war. This happened in America.The North and South disagreed on their views on slavery. The South didn't see anything wrong with slavery. the North disagreed.They decided to settle it with a war.The reason the Civil War is major is because this could have changed America if the South won. If the South won we may still have slavery to this day. Which would be scary. This war ended slavery and thus the Emancipation Proclamation.Who Knows. -
End of Slavery
Abraham Lincoln and abolitionist were the people involved into ending slavery.Slavery was abolished throughout the whole United States.The reason slavery was abolished because people realized how cruel it was and how it violated the slaves rights.But the South d And the North disagreed.Thus the Civil War happened.The ending of slavery is so important to because if America gave freedom to its citizen it had to give the rights to its slaves.Can't be free if not the whole America is free together. -

Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean. Aggressive invasion by Japan,China,Italy,and Germany caused WWII and sparked rage around the globe. The reason this is a turning point in American history is because WWII is the reason we got out of the Great Depression. And The Great Depression is where America was in a Slump. -

The whole NASA corporation where the people involved in this historic moment.This landing happened on the moon!The reason we landed on moon is because we wanted to expand our knowledge of space.And see how the moon acts and looks like in real life.But this event is very important because we gained more knowledge about space and our galaxy.This landing expanded our evolution through the sciences and did the unthinkable."One small step for man,One giant leap for mankind." -
September 11th
The people involved this terrorist attack was Al Qaeda.This attack happened in New York,The Pentagon,and one plane crashed in the field of Pennsylvania.The reason this attack happened was because this was a response and a wake up call to America that they aren't alone.This event deserves to be on my timeline because this when America didn't back down.They weren't scared.They started the war on terror and responded.This stricter our safety in airports and started our war against Osama Bin Laden.
