The proclamation of 1763 was a line that the colonists weren't allowed to cross. But the colonists felt as though they earned that land, so they crossed the line. This led to the Revolutionary War because it was the first time the colonists broke a British law, opening the floodgates to a full rebellion. -
The Stamp Act was a punishment handed to the colonists for crossing the proclamation line. It meant that some basic goods would be taxed and unreasonably high prices. The Tea Act passed taxes on tea to the clonists. This made the colonists even more upset because tea was very common and something that they drank multiple times a day. This led to the Revolutionary War because it made the colonists even more upset, the tensions rising higher. -
The Boston Tea Party was a protest made by the sons of liberty (colonists) protesting the tea act. They snuck out at night and threw tea off of its incoming ship into the water. This led to the Revolutionary War because it showed Britain how serious the colonists were about the taxes. It also showed just how unruly the colonist can be with their rebellion. -

The Battle of Bunker Hill was the first organized battle but still not part of the Revolutionary War. It was the final straw. The British won and got Bunker Hill but the Colonists felt more like they won because they killed more British men and they would've won if the hadn't run out of ammo. This led to the Revolutionary War because it gave the Colonists even more confidence in their strengths. -
Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine that stated reasons that splitting up from England was only "common sense." This led to the Revolutionary War because it convinced so many more colonists to join rebellion and see that England wasn't treating them well. -
The Declaration of Idenpendence was the Colonists official note to the British saying they were free. This led to the Revolutionary war because the British declared back that the colonists would have to fight for their freedom. -
Before these battles, Washinton had lost a lot. But then, he executed a near perfect plan to capture the forts of Trenton and Princeton on Christmas day and a few days later. This impacted the Revoutionary War because many soldiers were planning to quit, but once they won they decided to stay. It also gave people and the government faith in Washington and led to hope.

The Battle of Saratoga was the first time the colonists foughts ike the British (instead of retreating) and won. The impacted the Revolutionary War because it convinced many many people the colonists will win the war and also led to France joining the war. Now the Colonists have a very powerful ally. -
In the winter of 1777-1778, the Colonists continental army was stationed at Valley Forge while the war was paused. While staying, general Baron Von Steuben of Germany trained them. This impacted the Revolutionary War because for the first time, the U.S army was trained. they will have much better chances afterwards.

The war in the south was mainly the continental army running away from the British through the south. This impacted the war because the Colonists used this to convince Loyalists that the British were not treating them well when they had to host the British in their houses in the south. Charleston was a battle that was a big win for the British. The rest of the war in the south impacted the war because many loyalists changes sides afterwards.

The battle of Yorktown was the final battle in the Revolutionary war. The Colonists surrounded British General Cornwallis and fought until they surrendered. This impacted the war because the Colonists made the British surrender, the Colonists winning the war.
