The Stamp Act
In order for the British to make money they created the stamp act. This act required all newspapers and documents to have a stamp on it that was purchased from the British government. -

After the end of the Townsend act there was peace between the colonies and Britian. But when ships were checking for illegal goods of the cost of America to in-force British custom and laws of taxation. The Gaspee was British naval ships that were assigned to customs. -

Boston Tea Party
The British created the Townsend act which removed all taxes on goods except tea. As a result colonists dressed as Indians and dumped all the tea into the Boston harbor. -

This act allows the French Catholics religious freedom. This act was on of the intolerable acts. -
Ciercive Acts
The parliament passes 4 new laws. The first act required the town to pay for all the tea that had been destroyed in the Boston Tea party. Until they repay the state they kept the Boston port shut down. The second act said that the governor appointed the council members, sheriffs, and judges. The third act said the governor could transfer trials of soldiers. The last act was that the colonist had to let soldier stay in their home. -

The Olive Branch Petition was submitted to the British by the colonist to avoid a full-blown war. -

Paul Revere rode to differ towns to warn the colonist of the British soldiers advancements on the towns. -
