    French/Indian War
    The French/Indian War started on May 28, 1754 because the British and the French were fighting for land and trading rights in North America. The leader of the French was George Washington who led them to victory. In 1755, the French supports the Indians. In 1756, Britain declared war. In 1757, a new leader came aboard named William Pitt. In 1763, the British gain North Ameirca from the French.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliment on March 22, 1765. The Stamp Act was imposed on all American colonists which said that they had to pay tax for every printed paper they used for anything. This made the colonists angry.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend Act was introduced by by Charles Townhend on September 19, 1767.The Act was made to tax the American Colonists on imports such as glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea.
  • The Boston Maasacre

    The Boston Maasacre
    On March 5, 1770, a squad of British soldiers came to support but an angry mob arrived as well throwing snowballs at the soldiers. The colonishts were angry because they blamed the British for them losing their jobs.The soldiers shot back at the crowd with their guns leaving five colonishts dead.

    The Tea Act was passed by the Parliament stating that the colonishts had to pay taxes for every import of tea they brought into port. The British did this in order to help rescue the British East Indian Company and regain the control of tea trade in America.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1773. On this day, a group of Massachusett Patriots were angry because the British granted the East Indian Company American importation tea. The Massachusett Patriots raided three tea ships over night and taking the tea to dump it into the water.

    The Intolerable Act was passed by the British Parliament because of the outraged American Colonists. The Intolerable Act included five Acts: The Boston Port Act, The Massachusetts Government Act, The Administration of Justice Act, The Quartering Act, and The Quebec Act.

  • Battle Of Lexington and Concord

    Battle Of Lexington and Concord
    The Battle Of Lexington and Concord had begun on April 19, 1775, sparking The American Revolution. The British troops had marched over night to get to Concord. Paul Revere rode through town warning people that the British were coming. The colonists and the British started fighting. In the end, the Ameircan Colonists won and finally got their independence.

    The Second Continental Congress formed during the American Revolution on May 5, 1775. The Second Continental Congress declared independence from the British in 1776.

    Thomas Paine creates a pamphlet titled, "Common Sense" on January 9, 1776. It was considered one of the most influential pamphlets in American history. It was about his arguments in favor of American Independence.
