    This was the first battle of the American Revolution. It was also known as the "shot heard around the world" which means it started the revolution. 900 British went to Lexington and Concord to capture John Hancock ans Sam Adams. However, Paul Rivere warned them and got all their ammo out of storage before the British came.

    2nd Continental Congress
    the Congress voted to create the Continental Army out of the militia units around Boston and appointed George Washington as commanding general of the Continental Army. They also sent the Olive Branch Petition to the Crown in order to reconcile with the British, but it did no good. Also made the D.O.I.
