    Parliament passed the Quartering Act, meant to raise revenue. The act forced colonial government to provide and pay for the soldiers that were staying in the colonies

    British soldiers shot and killed several people after a series of events that started with the soldiers being harassed and ended with the soldiers firing into the crowd. The events were exaggerated by leading patriots such as Paul Revere and Samuel Adams
