  • The Treaty of Paris

    The end result of the french and Indian war against the British and French. British wins the war but has a very debt in the future. French give the Britian the land.
  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act reduces the taxes of Moleasses. By reducing the rate by half and increasing measures to enforce the tax, the British hoped that the tax would actually be collected.
  • Stamp Act

    The stamp act was passd by the British Parliament. The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on very piece of printed paper they used.
  • The Quartering Act

    Parilament passes the Quartering Act, outlining the locations and condictions in which British Soldiers are to find room and board in the american colonies.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The acts are named after Charles Townshend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, who proposed the programme. Historian vary slightly in which acts they include under the heading " Townshend Acts".
  • Boston Massacre

    Rowdy colonies gather and taunt British Soldiers. After an altercation, soldiers fire on the colonists. Sons of Liberty event to incite colonists against the British.
  • Tea Act

    The Tea Act 1773 was an Act of the Parliament of Great Britian. Its Principal over objective was to reduce the massive surplus of tea held by the financially troubled British East India Company in its London warehouses and to help the stuggling company survive. A related objective was to undercut the price of tea smuggled into Britian's North American colonies.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Response to the Tea Act. Colonist Organized by the Sons of Liberty sneak onto a ship in Boston Harbor, and dump the Equivalent of 4 million dollars worth of tea into the Harbor.
  • Intoleable Acts

    The Intoreable was the American Patriots' name for a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parilament in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party.
  • 1st Continential Congress

    12 of 13 colonies gather to discuss a response to the intolerable acts. 1st time colonies come together, like a government to act together.
