Sugar Act
The goal was to decrease smuggling and it was an indirect tax which added cost to sugar.
Issued writs of assistance which allowed them to search ur property without a warrent. -
Declaratory Act
It was another name for the american colonies act
Parliament repealed the Sugar Act because the boycotts were hurting British trade and used the declaration to justify the repeal and save face. -
Boston Massacre
This was the act of which the colonists through snow balls and sticks at the british soilders.
They got scared and started shotting and there were of 9 americans and 5 died -
Tea Act
This was supposed to convince the colonists to purchase company tea therefore implicitly agreeing to accept Parliament's right of taxation
The taxes that were on tea mad the people mad a through 1.3 million dollars worth of tea into the harbor -
Lexington & Concord
This was the first military engagements of the revolutionary war.
This battle marked the outbreak of armed conflict between Great Britian and the 13 colonies. -
