American Revolution

  • French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War was a conflict between France and Great Britain that resulted in Britain taking over all French lands. It was also the last war fought between European powers in North America before the American Revolution in which the American colonies gained independence from Great Britain.
  • Tea Party

    in 1773 parliment passed the tea act wich gave the british east india company the right to ship tea to the colonies without paying most of the taxes usually placed on tea. this made the east india company tea cheaper than any other tea in the colonies, giving the british company an advantage over colonial merchants.
  • Stamp Act

    In October of 1765, nine of the thirteen colonies sent representatives to the stamp act congress held in new york city. the representatives prepared a decleration agaimst the new british actions. wich was sent to king george III. This action marked the first time that majority of the colonies joined together to oppose british rule.
