A series of laws that restricted the foreighn shipping between England and its colonies. The goal was tro force colonies to develop in a way favorable to England. As well as to stop direct trade between the colonies and the netherlands and other European countries. -

The charge on printing or buying of certain documents. Documents that had already been che=arged with taxes must get a stamp to verify this. Taxesw were paiod on documents such as newspapers and books. -
