    effect:introduction of colonial boycotts of British imported goods which led to the eventual repealing of the tax by British Parliament

    event:passed by the Parliament of Great Britain, which granted the East India Company a monopoly on tea distribution in the American colonies
    cause:The colonists were required to pay a tax on this tea because of the Townshend Acts
    effect:boarded three ships full of tea sent by the East India Company and threw the tea into the Boston Harbor

    event: eventually put Great Britian into debt
    cause: high and severe taxes passed by Great Britian made the colonials very angry
    effect: called for the organization of militias and the printing of paper money and formed the Continental Army to be prepared for war with Britain.
