Proclamation of 1763
Prohibits any English settlement west of the Appalachian mountains. -
Sugar Act
Increased the duties on imported sugar and other items. It also doubled the duties on foreign goods reshipped from England to the colonies and also forbided the import of foreign. -
Currency Act
Prohibits the colonists from issuing any legal paper money. -
Stamp Act
It angered the colonist and added fuel to the growing separatist movement. -
Quartering Act
Colonists had to house British troops and supply them with food. -
The townshend revenue act
Taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. -
Boston Massacre
The killing of five civilians by British troops. -
Tea Act
Imposed no new taxes. It was ment to help the East India Company sale eighteen million pounds of unsold tea. Colonists knew that no one would buy their tea because they had to place taxes on it so people would only buy the tea brought over by Britain. -
Boston Tea Party
It was the colonist protesting the taxes from the British. -
Articles of Association
It prohibited import, consumption, and export of goods with England
