    With WW2 at an end, America had to find a use for Nuclear energy some how, so to use nuclear power for good, they created the first Nuclear powered submarine.

    On November 13, 1956, the Browder v Gayle case was filed, which was significant mainly because of the segregation that black people faced on Alabama buses. It ended with segregation being removed from buses entirely.
  • The Soviet Union Launch their first ICBM

    The Soviet Union Launch their first ICBM
    On May 15, 1957, the Union launch the first ICBM, or intercontinental ballistic missile, to test. This would be revolutionary in combat mainly due it being launched from ground instead of dropped from a plane. The missile would be able to travel 3,700 miles and hit targets from long distance. Even though it was a successful launch, it crashed 250 miles from where it was launched.

    On January 20, 1953, Eisenhower is elected to become the president of the United States. Is term would end on January 20, 1961. He was best known for being a Five star general and leading the allied invasion of North Africa during WW2. He would also be known for signing the Civil Rights Law in 1957.

    On August of 1961, Russia constructs the Berlin Wall, which divided both east and west Berlin. Since the Cold War had begin. the reason behind the building of it was to keep east Berlin citizens in, who were soviet controlled, away from west Berlin, who was controlled by western allies. Any attempts to try and escape was met with either imprisonment or execution.

    Richard Nixon is elected as the 37th president
    On January 20, 1969, Nixon ran against Hubert Humphrey and George Wallace for presidency and narrowly winning the role, in a close contest. What made this just a good moment was that he ran for president once in 1960 against JFK and lost, and he ran for governor in California in 1962 and also lost.
