    After the Confederacy formed, it was only a matter of time until the tension between the two new countries turned into all out war. The war begins when the first shots are fired at Fort Sumter.

    The war is over, and the U.S. is whole again. It ended with Lee's surrender in Virginia. The 13th Amendment is ratified, marking an end to slavery in America, although it will continue to present problems for a while to come. The South is bitter over their loss that could have been a win, and a group of bitter men plot to kidnap political leaders like Lincoln, but instead the tragic assassination of Lincoln comes about.
