    This set up a system for settling in the NorthWest Territiry.

  • Shay's Rebellion

    Angry farmers attacked and seized courthouses and stopped them from seizing their farms

  • Northwest Ordinance

    This set up a government for the NorthWest Territory.

  • The Constitutional Convention

    This is the group that revised the Articles of Confederation to see what went wrong.

  • Constitution is ready.

    Constitution was ready to be displayed and signed.

  • The First Election

    George Washington became the first President and John Adams became the Vice President.

  • The 12 Amendments

    Congress proposed a set of 12 amendments.

  • Last state ratify the constitution

    The last state, Rhode Island, ratified the new constitution and it could go into effect.

  • The 10 amendments

    10 of the 12 amendments had been completly ratified and could go into effect
