Synchronization Gear Is Applied To Aircraft's
The British were the first with machine guns on their planes but the Germans were the first to have machine guns on their planes that didn't shoot off their propeller. This was a big step for air combat. The Synchronization Gear worked from taking the crank shot of the propeller and the machine gun and connecting them with cam plate and then the machine gun would fire through the open spaces when the propeller is spinning.

The Sopwith Triplane Is Created Giving Britain The Upper Hand In The War
The Sopwith Triplane was created by Sopwith Aviation Company two years into World War One. The plane had 3 wings and a wingspan of 8 meters. The Sopwith Triplane also had a 176 Km/h top speed. This plane shows just how much faster, more powerful, and over all better airplanes got after just a couple of years into the war.

Hugo Junkers Makes Junkers J4 Aircraft
Hugo Junkers was a German mechanics professor. He created the first all metal aircraft. The body had to stay light enough so that it would make it off the ground but not to light weight so that it could not withstand the elements. The plane was made with an aluminium alloy called duralumin. Duralumin is a super light but really hard metal. It is made of 1% manganese,0.5%-1% magnesium, 4% copper, and 90% aluminium.
