    In the 1830 the first succesful air conditioner was made and it basically was a machine which blew ice in hot hospital rooms

    In 1881, when President James Garfield was dying, engineers formed a box shaped object which had clothes soaked in cold ice water and a fan blew the heat over to cool people down. This device was able to make a room 20 degrees (farienheight) lower than the room originally was
