I would write silly little poems for fun.

In third grade I had a great teacher, Mr, Marshall. He saw that I was reading an old book of my dad's about Martin Luther King Jr. Mr. Marshall gave me a book about MLK and had written a note to me about do not stop reading.

I developed an interest in the unknown. I loved to read about the uneplained events in the world, creatures, ufo's and anything related to this area.

I strted to enjoy Fantasy movies. Examples are "The Dark Crystal", "Legend", "The Never Ending Story", and any movie along this line.

Teahcer did not like that i read the unexplain books. She wanting me to read different books. Books that I did not care for. My dad told her that I am reading and that is what matters. My dad always made sure there was not anything graphic or extreme in the books he would buy me. This really left an impact.

I started to enjoy reading Stephen King, Well trying to anyway. My 7th grade teacher was surprised that I even knew who he was. Towards the end of the year she gave me her copy of "Four Past Midnight". She told me when I was done to past it on to someone else that would enjoy reading Kind as well. I would from time to time think about this and it would make me smile.

We read "Scarlett Letter". To be honest, I really did not care for it.

I was recommened to join the school newspaper. I did and i enjoyed it!

I remember reading Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and I really enjoyed it. I had seen many movies but never got around to reading the book until we were asigned it in class. Also read Gorge Orwell's "Animal Farm and 1984.

I was given the Assistant Editor position for the school news paper. Devloped interest for Harry potter.

My son was born. I started to read little books but he loved "Where the Wild Things Are" and still does. He was not too impressed by the movie though.

I work with young kids and on a daily basis we are always reading something. We also Sing with books. A learning series called Frog Street. I enjoy these books as much as the kids do!

A friend and I went to the Dallas Museum of Art for a reading of Golem. It was very entertainging. Side note, Mary Shelly had some insperation from this story for Frankenstein.

I finally read the book of "The Neverending Story" I was surpirsed of how little of the book was actually put in the 1980's movie. I decided to read the book because in 2014 they are planning to make another movie but more like the book.

I am now experiencing new childern's books and hope to be able to incorperate what I can into my class when I finish school.
