  • Emily's father dies

    Emily lived with her only family that was her father. When he passed she didn't believe that he was gone. She was in denial for three days.
  • Construction begins. Miss Emily meets Homer.

    Miss Emily hires a guy named Homer Barron. He is a rough talking northerner.
  • Homer & Miss Emily are seen together

    Emily and Homer are seen together. They are seen going out for rides. Homer is gay
  • Her cousins comes and Homer leaves

    Homer is a homosexual. The townspeople are worried that Emily doesn't know about Homer'a sexual preference. Emily's cousins are called into town by townspeople. They try to convince her to stop talking to Homer. Her cousins make him uncomfortable and he leaves.
  • Homer comes back.

    Homer comes back to town. Her cousins are gone now. Construction is done already but he comes back.
  • Emily buys poison

    Miss Emily is seen buying poison. Townspeople assume that she is going to kill herself. Everyone starts saying its the best that she kills herself.
  • Homer goes into Miss Emily's house and never comes out.

    Homer is seen going into Miss Emilys home. Tobe the servant lets him in. Homer is never heard of again.
  • Strange smell.

    Townspeople notice a strange smell coming from Miss Emily's home. She isn't seen out no more. Townspeople sprinkle her home with lemon juice.
  • Tax notice is mailed to Miss Emily

    Emily is mailed a tax notice. She refused to pay her taxes. She says she does not owe taxes.
  • Miss Emily dies

    Miss Emily passes . Everyone talks about how she was so nice and how they once danced with her . They talk as if they knew her so well.
  • Miss Emily is buried, before anyone can enter her home.

    Townspeople respect miss emily's death .They wait til she is underground until they enter her home.
  • Homer's skeleton is found

    Once she is buried they enter her home . They are let in by Tobe. They knock down a door and enter a room much like a bridal room, where they discover a body. Homers body lays on the bed with a strand of grey hair much like Emilys.
