    Election of 1800
    In this election the two men running for president were John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. In this election John Adams's running mates were Charles Cotesworth Pinckney and John Jay and Thomas's running mate was Aaron Burr. Thomas and Aaron ended up in a tie vote. The election was thrown into the House of representatives and in the end Thomas Jefferson won the election.

    On this date the third president Thomas Jefferson took office. The election consisted of two people John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. After this election the Federalists Congress increased the number of circuit courts. The case of Marbury and Madison established a Judicial review which allows the Judicial brand to make a law unconstitutional.
