  • Germany Invades Czechoslovakia

    Germany was coming to invade Czechoslovakia, unless Britain was to agree to take over Suetendland. Britain's didn't agree therefore germans dominated Czechoslovakia.
  • The Soviet-Nazi Pact

    Hilter and Joseph Stalin, the dicator of the Soviet Union made a temporary alliance to delay war with eachother and attack France and Russia.
  • The Invasion of Poland

    The Invasion of Poland
    In 1939, The Nazis of Germany invaded Poland because Hitler signed a pact with Poland so they wouldn't make an alliace with France. Germany was also unhappy with Poland because many germans were lost in WWI due to Poland. About 1 million soldiers were sent to the country using a special attack called the blitzkreig. Poland were defeated by Germany withen weeks.
  • Canada enters war

    Canada helped Britain against Germany during the war because they were asked by Britain, and Canada voted in parliament. Mackenzie King was a part of British Commonwealth. Canada also wanted to show Britain peacefully that Canada was capable to have it's own army. Therefore we bought $20 million worth of weapons from US. Both men and women served in the war.

    After Germany invaded Poland, they called the Phony War. This was a long quiet war that had little ground fighting. Germans invaded for Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium and France.
  • The Invasion of Norway and Denmark

    This invasion was the start of the war in Western Europe and the end of the Phoney War. Hitler invaded Norway because he wanted natural resources, and because he wanted to block the opening from British getting in.

    As Hitler tried to make peace with France and Britain, he promised he would never invade either country. But in 1940 Germany invaded France, Belgium and Holland. Hitler invaded France because when Germany invaded Poland, France was an ally, also in WWI Germany was defeated by France therefore he wanted to prove to them that Germany was powerful.

    The french lost the battle. On June 22, Marshall Petain signed an armistice for France. This was to send 2 million french soldiers to Germany as slaves.
  • German Invasion of Holland and Belgium

    Germany forced marched in and invaded Holland and Belgium on the same date. They were attacked because France and England were planning on making a defense with smaller countries to go against Germans. Germany won and they advanced.
  • The Miracle at Dunkirk

    The Miracle at Dunkirk
    Germany began to invade Dunkirk on the English channel. Between May 27, and June 4 rescue from England supported Dunkirk troops. German stopped invaded, and Hitler became angry. The battle caused an evacuation of British and allied forces in Europe.
  • Battle of Britain

    Hilter planned on attacked Britain's aircrafts for land invasion. British developed a radar system for determining where the enemy's aircraft was located. Many Canadians helped Britain defeat Germany, and won.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa
    This attack was on Russia, it is said that it was one of the largest attacks in World War Two. Hitler wanted Russia because of the large amount of minerals, gas, oil, and otehr natural resources. He also wanted more living space for Germans.
  • The attack on Pearl Harbor

    Japanese attack United States unexpectedly. The next day US declared war on Japan. Three days later becase of the axis agreement, Germany, Italy, and Japan declared war on United States.
  • The Nazi Occupation

    The Nazi Occupation
    By then end of 1942, Germany had taken over a lot of countries, such as Europe, Austria, France, Poland, Czechlovakia, Belgium and many more. Hitler also allied with many other countries such as Finland, and Italy. The map indicates the countries in red in which Germany had taken over in 1942 in the Mediterranean and Europe. World War Two was not over till 1945.
