  • DREAM CAREER & START INDUSTRY EXPLORATION PROJECT

    DREAM CAREER & START INDUSTRY EXPLORATION PROJECT
    Students will share their dream career. As a group we will determine what specific skills, specialized training, and education is necessary to acquire their dream careers.
    Students will break out into small groups based on their career interests. They will begin poster project that researchers the different positions that are available in their given field.
    (Example) Sports Group will research:
    -Ticket Sales & Operations
    -Athletic Development & Coaching
    -Business & Finance
    -Corporate Sponsorship
  • WHICH COLLEGE IS BEST FOR ME? WHAT CAN I DO NOW TO PREPARE FOR COLLEGE?

    WHICH COLLEGE IS BEST FOR ME? WHAT CAN I DO NOW TO PREPARE FOR COLLEGE?
    Students will continue project and choose one college to highlight that offers the major they are interested in. Students will create a checklist of strategies on how to become college ready.
    Example Checklist:
    -Keep doing your best in school.
    -Start saving money now to help pay for college.
    -Take challenging/ advanced courses.
    -Ask family or other college students about their college experience.
    -Explore different career options.
