  • Proclamation of 1763

    King George III had declared the Appalachian Mountains the temporary boundary for the colonies. The cause for this had been to end the French and Indian War. The boundaries had made the colonist very angry because some had bought land west of the Appalachain Mountains and were not able to go to their land anymore.
  • Taxation without Representation

    Great Britain during this act, had taxed everything since they had gotten into debt from the French and Indian war. Being taxed on everything did not make the colonistt happy at all either.
  • Sugar Act

    British Parliament had lowered the taxes during the Sugar Act on all the molasses imported by the colonist. The British Parliament set this to get people to stop smuggling the molasses and increase the governments cash renew. This event had also angered the colonist and lead into protest.
  • Stamp Act

    The Parliament had placed taxes on all printed items, because Britain was still in debt and needed to pay off the money after the war. This had also angered the colonist which led to protest.
  • Quatering Act

    The Parliament of the New World had punished the payment of Army men by following through with this act. The soldiers had refused to do duty leading making Parliament punish the payments. It also made the colonists angry.
  • Declaratory Act

    Parliament passed a law saying they had the right to tax and make desicions for all British colonies since they had lost control during the Stamp Act. This angered the colonist and they complained to the government for power.
  • Townshed Act

    Parliament had set a group of taxes on all imported goods, trying to make an attempt to make the colonists happy.The plan backfired and the colonists were outraged and starting to make their own stuff and boycott.
  • Boston Massacre

    British and Boston colonists had formed a group that protested
  • Tea Act

    Parliament had shipped tea and sold them cheap to the colonist. The reason for this act so the East India would profit. This had angered the colonists because they had undercut the local merchants.
  • 1st Continetal Congress

    This was an organization that represented the American people. They had wanted to reconstitutecolonies and gain back liberty because of destruction. The colonist had formed militias to also help the congress.
  • Coercive (Intlerable Acts)

    Parliament had closed the Boston Harbor and was closed until the colonist paid back the costs of the tea. King George the III had decided to do this as punishment for the Boston Tea Party. The colonist were angry because of the isolation for the harbor being closed.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Sons of Liberty had disguised themselves as Native Americans and threw 300 chests of tea overboard. The citzens had also refused to unload the tea because of the Tea Act. The colonists rejoiced and were happy for the Sons of Liberties.
