    Lent is when you give up something valuable to you to represent Jesus' deprivation in the desert. Giving up the one thing leaves more time for prayer and Bible study.
  • St. Patrick's Day

    Catholic Festival in celebration of Saint Patrick. Gifts usually aren't exchanged on this day, but people celebrate by wearing green and drinking beer.
  • Easter

    Christians believe this is the day Jesus rose from the dead. Eggs are painted and small gifts are exchanged. People dress up and go to early services at Church.
  • Thanksgiving

    Thanksgiving is a day of thanks. People eat large meals and usually pray before they eat. Gifts usually aren't given.
  • Christmas

    Christmas
    Believed to be Jesus' birthday. Gifts exchanged. People go to evening services at their Churches the night before.
