    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    British parliament said that Massachusetts was an open rebillon and for British troops to tie them. They were set to destroy all guns firepower and other weapons. The Americans leared about this. Paul Rever warned them that the British were coming by see. So American troops tired to stop them and Lexington. A shot was fired and eight died and the British moved on. In Concord they knew they were coming so the hide as much suppiles as they could. Other militia came to help them and sent them back.

    The Americans were 17,000 strong. Washington had his men ready to fight, but a bad strom had come so the British were told to leave Boston. That gave time for Washington strength his defenses. As Boston as being left by the British the Americans took many suppiles and other thing from them.

    Bunker hill was the Americans. The British wanted to take the hill because it was a high point. The hill was occupied by a weaker American force, and the Britsih already took Breeds hill. The began the attack in the moring with cannon fire which scared the Americans. Even thought it took three ties the Britsh finally got the hill. But the moral of the Americans were high.

    This battle was the first major lost for the Americans. The British had lost just about 20 troops, while the Americans lost about 500 men. The attack had began on the night on December 31. The Americans attacked either sides of the city. The troops did managed to get through the wall. The troops that did were captured and the assualt put to rest.

    The British were justing killing the Americans in this battle. Within a couple of hours the Americans had lost almost 3000 men. If the British could trap Washington and his men the war might me over right there. But the British had let up, which let Washington and his men under the cover the river to Manhatan.

    This is when Washington and his troops crossed the Delware. It was winter and the period of enlistment for the amry was almost up. Washingtons plan was to cross the Delware at three points. The British leader Colonel Rahl didnt take the message that the Americans were coming, it was found in his pocket, he was died. Troops entered from the north-west and south, north-east was for the retreat. 20 killed 100 hurt and 1000 captured for the British.

    The British tried to encircle the Americans but the outmanoeuvred them. The British charged at the Americans largly lacking bayonets. The Americans were trying to get rid of the British out of New Jersey. European powers like France and spain were impressed with us standing up to he British. They were one step closer to joining us.

    This was a huge battle. It was 1100 Americans to the 8000 British and Hessins troops. The british did win this battle though. Washington wanted to surprise the British at there camp Washingtons plan was to have four attacks and 5 o clock, with not firing only bayonets. But they were short of the start line and the British fired at them. The Americans had no time to set there attack so the retreated.

    British government wanted to send a srtong army down Lake Champlain to isolate New England. The British were trying to take suppiles but the Americans attacked at overwhelmed them. Americans pretty much domanited this battle and the British were forced to surrender. The British lost about 7000 troops. After there surrender France and Spain joined the fight on thre American side.
