    The stamp act
The stamp act of 1765 brought a new tax on the colonists of America by imposingduties on stamps needed to send offical documents. It violates the right of property by having you pay to send documents to buildings and loved ones
  • The Quatering act

    The Quatering act
At the same time the British congress(parliment) passed the quatering act which required colonists to house British soldiers in their homes. It also violated the right of property because you should be able to shelter who you want and not have the government tell you who you must house.
  • The Declaratory act

    The Declaratory act
The declaratory act asserted Great Britians power and authority over all the colonies. It violated the right to liberty by having Britian assert so much not neede power.
  • Townshend act

    Townshend act
Townshend act which levied the new taxes on items like tea, paper and glass. In response to this a group of women who called themselves "The Daughters of Liberty" and they would lead boycotts of English goods and commited themselves to making cloth and other things that would help encourage and be economically independent from England. I think that this violtaed Liberty because they weren't free to choose what to buy and all their money would go to England
  • Intorlerable acts

    Intorlerable acts
After the "BOSTON TEA PARTY" parliament decided to make the Intorlerable acts which among all other things closed down Boston Harbor to all trade which put people out of work. This violated the right to Liberty and Property by closing down the Boston Harbor which meant they couldn't work and make a living and took the property of money away from them.
