  • Quartering act

    Quartering act
    This act required colonies to provide barracks and supplies and shelter for the British troops in their homes. It happened in 1765, in March. Some items they needed to provide was bedding, cooking untensils ect.
  • Stamp act

    Stamp act
    This act had things in it like a tax on all printed goods in the colonies. Some taxes ranged in prices. Some taxes ranged from one penny on newspapers to ten dollars for a college diploma. Colonists could see additional payments were violating them. They met with colonial resistance. This act violated life because people had to pay more for daily things.
  • Declaratory act

    Declaratory act
    This act requires that the Americans must house and feed the British soldiers in the colonies. This would probably make the colonists mad because they have to spend. This act mainly just says that by the power of great britain, colonists have to house British soldiers. This violated liberty because because they were putting random people in homes.
  • Townshend act

    Townshend act
    The townshend acts were import duties placed on paper and other miscelanious items. There were certain things that made the British repeal the acts. in 1770 the British did repeal the act in 4 years. The tax was kept on tea though. These acts violated liberty.
  • Tea act

    Tea act
    This act was passed by parliamenton May 10, 1773. It changed the regulations to allow the failing company to sell its large tea surplus. About 45 tons of tea was dumped. This act led to the intolerable acts.This act violated liberty because you can only but one certain type of tea.
