    The southwestern states in the great plains region was going through a massive drought lasting almost a decade, thousands of farmers suffered greatly resulting in many of them not being able to support their families
  • Farmer's Revolt

    During WW1 farmers were paid much more because the food had to be shipped to all the fighters, after it was done the prices fell by a large margin, it was hard for them to get everything back and it got much worse during the Great Depression, the farmers went on strike to ask for better policies for them.

    FDR is elected into office by a landslide, with his New Deal strategy to help the country recover.
  • Emergency Banking System Act

    Congress passes the Emergency Banking Act. Resulting in almost all of the banks that had closed when the Depression started to reopen successfully throughout the whole country.
  • The Civilian Conservation Corps

    The CCC is created making thousands of young men go to camps to work on projects provided by the government in hopes of getting men to start working again reviving the economic cycle.
  • The Tennessee Valley Authority

    Another New Deal program rolled by FDR, brings electricity and jobs to young Americans living in the southern regions of the country
  • Social Security

    The Act provides money every month for senior citizens living in the US. One of the more popular things rolled out, still used to this day.

    After showing some improvement thanks to the New Deal policies, the economy goes on a downward spiral after more Americans lose their jobs. Many people begin to lose hope that things will ever get better and FDR begins to lose support

    The start of the second world war overseas, the German invasion of European countries marked the start of the war. The US remained neutral for the time being
  • Creation of Axis powers

    Germany, Japan, and Italy band together under the "pact of steel" and started to invade everything
  • Failure of the League of Nations

    The formation of the league of nations was mostly to prevent another world war form starting but in the end after the US refused to join it, the league failed to have enough influence to prevent anything from happening
  • US supports Britain in war

    The US started to send supplies to Britain while they were at war, this completely broke their neutrality rule once and for all

    The suffering industry in the US saw the safe haven of the war industry where they could start manufacturing planes, cars, and tanks for the army. This created a ton of jobs for people but also a dependency on the creation of these products

    After the fall of France, Germany decided that its time for the Soviet Union to fall and invaded their land starting their involvement in the war.

    It was the first time in WW2 that the Japanese experienced failure in a major battle and. the battle stopped the Japanese sea born expansion. This marked a turning point for the US' naval campaign in ww2
  • Fall of Italy

    Italy had been defeated by the allies and Mussolini was overthrown. This marked the start of the winds for the allies in the span of the war
  • Fall of the Nazis

    After Germany was pushed in two separate fronts one by the allies and one by the soviets. When berlin was finally breached Hitler killed himself in his bunker marking the end of the Nazis
  • Nagasaki and Hiroshima Incident

    The most important in the last 100 years as this marked the first time nuclear weapons were presented in the world stage. This would change the course of the world forever
  • End of the War

    Japan after getting nuked twice decided that they'd enough and surrendered marking the end of the Axis powers and ending the second world war
